As this site
appears, it is the result of a long and continuous process which for
Carsten Berg Høgenhoff's part started in 1980. The branches Berg,
Selsbak, Winnem and Ravn were presented on the Internet in 1997. In
2001, a close cooperation about this site started between the cousins
Steinar Winnem and Carsten Berg Høgenhoff, with the addition
of the Burchard family to this site. We are now joint editors of the
entire site.
We share the
Winnem and Ravn lines. Please feel free to contact either of us is if
you have comments or questions about these or related families. Steinar
Winnem would be the natural man to contact in connection with the Burchard
family, and Carsten Berg in connection with Berg, Selsbak and related
lines. See eMail addresses in left frame.
We have collected
and organized all available material on our ancestors that we have been
able to find. In the process, we have quoted, translated and transformed
material from numerous sources in the creation of this genealogy site.
To our best knowledge, all sources are credited in the texts as well
as in the reference list. In those cases where we have found it
natural to do so, we have obtained permission to publish text or material
created by others, and as a general rule we have followed the ordinary
routines and rules for quotations.
We have no commercial
interests in this work. Our aim is to share our knowledge with those
who care to read what we present, and to use the Internet as a source
for continued development of the site. Thus, we welcome all possible
contact with people interested in these families - and from 1997 until
this date, our good contact with numerous fellow genealogists on the
Internet has been a rewarding and warm experience. None mentioned, none
